Daytime wetting (aka diurnal enuresis) in children, and can occur with nocturnal enuresis.

Sx
  • Frequent urination
  • Urgent urination
  • Dribble after urinating

What happens when you wet yourself during the day?
So you may frequently want to go to the toilet, you may experience urgency, or dribble after urinating. It all depends on the cause though.

Cause
  • Urge incontinence (see above), where an overactive bladder is commonly caused by an UTI, thus more common in girls
  • Stress incontinence (see above), including giggle incontinence, an involuntary response to laughter, usually affecting kids
  • Functional incontinence (see above), including infrequent voiding, where a child's voluntarily holds urine for prolonged intervals. For example, a child might not want to use toilets at schools, may not want to interrupt enjoyable activities, or otherwise ignores body's signal for a full bladder

So if you're super young, you might not know that you need to go or how to go. Usually, you stop peeing yourself during the day by 4yo, and you should also have this during bed 2 years later, at 6yo.
