Oral hygiene is the practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean to prevent dental problems.

Methods
  • Tooth brushing is scrubbing teeth w/ a TB, usually w/ TP. It can be done w/ a mTB or eTB
  • Toothpaste is ordinarily used, and can include:
    • Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief, which contains K salts that soothe and desensitive the nerve endings in teeth to significantly lessen sensitivity pain over time
    • Sensodyne, which contains K which soothes the nerves, providing sensitivity protection
  • Flossing is removing plaque and food particles from between the teeth and below the gums, and includes:
    • Flosette
    • Oral-B Superfloss
  • Interdental brushes
  • Tongue scrapers
  • Oral irrigation
  • Mouth wash
