Surgical procedure to leave a male unable to reproduce. The paired vas deferens of the male are severed, and then tied to prevent sperm from entering into the ejaculate. It usually takes less than 30 minutes to complete, and can resume typical sexual behavior within a week with minimal discomfort. It is a permanent form of birth control.
