Classification
Examples include:
Olmesartan [medoxomil], e.g. Sevikar which is olmesartan+ the CCB amlodipine
Irbesartan (Avapro)
Valsartan (Diovan)
Telmisartan (Micardis)
Losartan
Azilsartan
Fimasartan
Candesartan
Eprosartan

What are some examples?
They all end in -sartan, which is why we sometimes call these drugs sartans.
Indications
HTN
Diabetic nephropathy (kdiney damage due to diabetes)
Congestive heart failure
MOA
Block the activation of angiotensin 2 receptors. Angiotensin 2 is involved with:
Vasoconstriction, thus causing vasodilation
Secretion of ADH, thus reduces this
Produces and secretes aldosterone, thus reduces this
